What do you think of this location for my Garmin Nuvi?

Hey guys, I'm not a big fan of putting my gps on the dash or the windshield for both security and aesthetic reasons. What do you guys think of it here? It gets signal down here and it doesn't bother me to look down.

Are you using the base to hold it there?

I'd say it's a good spot as long as it doesn't slide when you are cornering.

If it works for you, then I think it's great. Personally, I hate looking down that much when I'm driving.

That's where I put my iphone. With the rubber case it fits perfectly and doesn't move at all when cornering. That said, I agree with 1997 that it's a bit low but I really don't look at it that much...

I affixed it to the ashtray with velcro tape. That way i can detach it if i want to. It worked out well.

i wouldn't like it being so down low, but if i had to, i would have closed the cig tray and sucktion cup'd it on top. then again, you would have to be running on battery power.
in the end, i'd stick it real low on the windshield on the left side of the steering wheel. then again, someone told me its illegal to have things on your windshield.. is that true??

eh, how often does one really need to look at the gps? it tells you where to turn so I just look at it occasionally for the pretty colors.

Plus you have it on your dash and you're just asking for a broken window.

I put mine in the same place. Had it hardwired so it turns off when I shut the engine off.
