Adding Features to your Car...Group Buy

Hey Guys,

I spoke with "Patyrs", who is a vendor here located in Poland, about turning off/on certain features on our cars. He has a tool that plugs into your cars computer and then turns features on/off through remote desktop.

I am interested in getting some things added to my car and asked him if he is willing to ship the tool to Canada. As of now, his units are circulating around the USA and he is willing to ship the tool to Canada if I can get 2-3 people interested in this group buy.

If all of us are in the GTA, we can save on the shipping as well.

Here is a list of some of the things he can do:

1.Enable remote folding mirrors and windows/sunroof opening/closing
2.Enable remote windows/sunroof opening/closing
3.Enable remote hardtop folding
4.Enable One-touch sunroof venting
5.Enable TV/DVD-in-motion (only for the CIC)
6.Enable Euro front blinkers (disable US Sidemarkers)
7.Enable M3 digital speedometer in the instrument cluster
8.Enable any lights as your Welcome Lights
9.Enable remote trunk opening/closing (X5/X6 only)
10.Disable iDrive warning
11.Disable door gong
12.Disable headlight washers
13.Disable a bulb check error (LED bulbs, HIDs, etc.)
14.Retrofit coding (OEM Alarm, Sirius, PDC etc.)
15.E9x LCI tail lights coding (all FRM versions)
16.Head Unit audio output coding (Stereo, HiFi, TopHiFi, Individual)
17. Disable DRL

Here is a review that someone did about his service: Disable Features

His rates are not bad either.

If anyone is interested, please let me know what features you want.

Thanks

Do you have the alarm installed on your car? The coding can only be done if it is installed.

Don't know about the blinkers, but the M3 digital is like a Yamaha R1 speedometre....or those old domestic "luxury" cars....your actual speed shows as ## in your cluster

Ownage..check the link I posted in my first post. The member got the options you are interested in.

Basically for the side marker, it only lights up when you have your signals on.

The stock way, the light stays on along with the angel eyes. Check the link and see the video posted.

You are paying pretty much for the guy to program the car (time and resources). A deposit has to be paid for the tool but will be returned once the module is shipped back.

Now that I know what people are looking for, I can get him to give me a price. I was asking for about 6 things and he gave me a rough cost of $150. Hopefully he can give a better rate now that we have people interested.

He can enable your angel eyes to run as DRL and add any welcome lights to the LCI models only.

For what it's worth, I had my DRL disabled by a shop locally in the past. When the dealer updated my software, the DRL disable was "re-enabled".

So, just for you guys who plan to do these coding, you might want to find out what will happen if the dealer updates your software and put everything back to "Canadian spec"...

Some if not all of the features he programed will be reversed...

Damn $150 roughly? I wouldnt pay $50 for it. Well prolly since i have no need for any of them. I would not mind having to press a button and close the windows but i can easily live without it. Plus i rarely open the windows anyway.

That's because you're a cheap MOFO....

First get your new front lips, then worry about luxury bells and whistles... for now you'll just have to hold the buttons...
