So I'm just tossing up a thread here in an attempt to warn other N54/5 owners. Daniel Bogues is up and running again. He is listing a TON of parts all over Canada on Kijiji under a new company called "DBV2".

For those of you who don't know about him, he orders car parts off Aliexpress and then sells them as genuine parts. For our cars he is just selling basic bolt ons including DP's, charge pipes, and recently injectors. He claims he owns a fab shop and is currently designing an IC set up as well... but when you get the product, it is still in it's Chinese packaging.

Buyer beware. He's a con-artist.

Ok, lets break this down for you...

1) I didn't say he had another company. I don't know if he did or not... but he WAS peddling this crap personally for a long time before DBV2 started.

2) You want proof... Well I guess here we go...

So this is the package he shipped me. This is it BEFORE he shipped it. Does it look new? Does it look like he packaged it himself? No. It doesn't. And you can say that my box was just an old one but Daniel has been posting a picture like this of every package he ships, and every box is beat to hell before it leaves his door step...

BUT the more telling thing is the CBSA markings that were on the box indicating that it was a Chinese product. I didn't bother to take pics of this but was on one of the ends.

In addition, you'll notice that Daniel just tapes his stuff (invoice and crappy stickers) to the outside of the box. He doesn't even open it! He just gets it shipped in, sticks his crap on top, and sends it on.


Here is a picture of what was in the box. It is EXACTLY the same DP set that is sold on Aliexpress. You'll notice the cheap knock of gasket (which no one should ever use), and that the welds are identical to the ones on Aliexpress (Where he has been accused to getting his garbage from in the past).


3)... I shouldn't even bother with this.. but you brought it up "As a matter of fact hes one of the most honest business owner i've dealt with.".

No, he's not honest. In fact he has been scamming people for years. He's even the type of person that downloads fake lawsuit papers from the internet and sends them to people (I know he has done this a few times in the past and can't wait for mine to come in the mail. Not registered mail though, that's only for real lawsuits).

In addition, he is facing lawsuits of his own. I know of a few companies including COBB that are currently dealing with him.

4) And here is the kicker... What Daniel is doing is not only unethical... It's a criminal offence.

Every one who, by deceit, falsehood or fraudulent means, whether or not it is a false pretence within the meaning of this Act, defrauds the public or any person, whether ascertained or not, of any property, money or valuable security or any service, is guilty of an indictable offence

If he were just to import garbage and sell it, that would just make him unethical. But to claim that he makes the items on his own and to trick people into buying what they think is an authentic item... Puts him in the above category.

Why would Cobb sue the guy, they don't even know he exists. He makes nothing that Cobb even makes! You don't make sense. You say he has been doing this for years yet he has been doing it since May 2016. I met him maybe a month after he started and we worked together to develop stuff for the N5x platform that would be more affordable than the BMW taxed products on the market currently. Your just a butthurt liar and you have no real proof of anything.
