Baby on Board

I was wondering if any fathers on here have any tips on installing a car seat? Actually let me re phrase that, does anyone know the best way to install a car seat, WITHOUT scratching, damaging, staining the leather seats. Should I put a towel underneath? I'm really meticulous with my vehicle, and i'm sure you are the same. I tried to search before I posted. Thank you all in advance.

TJ - I have an extra seat protector pad you throw under the seat. I'll bring it up when I come to get the bumper/skirts painted You can have it for free.

You can/should also go by or call your local police dept. to make sure you have the seat installed correctly. I had mine close, but not quite there. Even though it was close, the right way made a big difference!! Good luck!!

Fire dept can also help you with the seat install.

Being a dad is great, don't sweat it, enjoy every minute of it because believe it not it flies by. Can't believe mine are 8 and 5 already.

You will quickly find that the Britax is probably the least expensive purchase over the first 24 months. Wait until you start buying diapers and formula on a regular basis, it is truely astonishing how much they shit and eat!

Congratulations and the best of luck. Those "lion" seat covers look pretty nice. I will keep that link for later.

You probably paid less at Amazon. I think they are around $27 at the store.

do not buy a britax. They are HUGE, HEAVY, and unnecessary. Statistically your child is no better off in a car seat. The real advantage is being in the back seat of the car. I completely understand the first time dad uber safety thing. Been there, done that and had fights with family members about how they didn't care about their kids if the didn't have the britax. Get a decent seat that allows for removal and travel on airplanes and always drive safely with your children. Done.

+1 and pray you don't get a big toddler. My son was huge and we were buying boxes of size 6 diapers for $35. You get FAR less size 6 diapers in a $35 box than you get of size 3 in a $35 box...

Kids are worth like 110 whp tho. I recommend.
