Dinan Tune in California?

Is there anyway to get the Dinan Tune in California? My dealer wont do it, something about emissions or something, I cant remember why.

Ideas?

Yes you can. Since the dealer can do emissions checks at their facility they can't install the tune. There are two places in San Diego that can install the tune. The first is Dose Inc. in Santee. This is were I had mine done. The second is All German Auto in Escondido. By the time your car needs a smog check Dinan will have a CARB number for their tune by then. Their contact information can be found on Dinan's website.

One more thing. If you are getting the Dinan for the warranty, i noticed that you have an exhaust allready. I belive if you use the Dinan in cunjuction with another product that is not theirs they may not honor your warranty. Something you may want to look into before you take the plunge.

I called BMW of SD and they said that they would install the
new Flash, I didn't go back because they wanted the car for
the day. I went up to Brecht and they said no to the Flash and
recommended SSTT and handed me a brochure.
I am still on the fence as for which one to get, but I will pull the
trigger on one this spring.

I went to BMW of SD first and they said they could not do the flash. That must have recently changed.

I heard that Brecht retails the SSTT and doesn't have any problems with honoring warranty with aftermarket parts like this....is this true??

I was also reffered to a authorized Dinan dealer in my Murrieta, Autohaus Frankfurt, for the flash.

Did you find any info out about the flash and warranty in conjunction with other products? ie:the new Logic motorsports CAI that is coming out.

I asked this very same question in a few of the Dinan threads, and everyone told me that any manufacturer's parts with the Dinan tune were fine (although I swore I read differently). Not that I'm considering the Dinan tune, but it was something that would be good to know.

Here is an exerpt from Dinans warranty.

"damage resulting from the use of other manufacturer’s products in conjunction with Dinan products or systems"

I think they are saying you are free to use any other aftermarket product on your car but just like BMW, if they determine that it was the other manufactuers modification that caused the problem they won't cover the repair work.

I'm no Dinan fan, but Cunningham BMW was a Dinan dealer for years. I don't see any Dinan merch around there anymore. You could always call, but it looks like they dropped Dinan.
