They tend to be less concerned with safety in the HPDEs than most. You also tend to have shorter sessions than the promised. Lots of overly aggressive types that don't have the ability to back it up (read lousy vision, red mist, spin, crash, bang) and the Chief instructors don't tend to enforce safety rules.

Weren't your part of that chaos?
The good thing about NASA is... in their most rookie level of HPDE, all students must have an in-car instructor. The problem is... after that first weekend, in-car guidance is up to the individual. |
