Request for major help!

Hi guys!

Possibly looking for a big favour (but not without reward).

I just won an auction on ebay for a complete M3 rear sub frame. I have to admit excitement did kind of get the better of me - fired in a last minute bid and although I thought I'd lost, I was offered an official ebay 2nd chance offer and took it.

Seller unfortunately for me is not interested in packing for courier collection, which is fair enough since it says local collection of only.
I'm asking if there is anyone local to Essex that could help you collect it and help a little with shipping for a bit of cash, or if I don't have that option, all I need is the diff and shafts, and the helper could keep the rest - sub frame, roll bar, suspension etc.

I realise that this is a pretty major ask, and looking at the sellers rep it might be a scam, but not sure if I have many other choices!

Thanks for reading!

I have a friend who'd be over before Christmas with his big wagon to pick it up, if someone would hold it for me until then (and could take their pick of the other parts I don't need)

I'm currently thinking about bidding on a couple of bids he has relisted, if I win them I will have to collect them, as for what ever reason the pleb won't allow a courier to be arranged by me or arrange postage himself, but I if win, I'll take a van down and collect your stuff too if you like.
I'm in Lincoln, no where near London, but hey, part of the course I guess.

PM me if this is of any use to you

Regards
Tom

Idnan on here has fitted a M3 subframe to his E92, so he will be able to offer advice re what bits you need etc.

Is it off a manual M3 is yours a manual too? Their maybe an issue with diff gearing if not.

You just need a man-with-van out of the yellow pages, someone local to you who'll pick it up for cash.

Mines a manual, but there still would be a bit mismatch if it's a manual m3 - from what the seller has said it should be from a dct m3.

I'll try and organise something this week - been a busy couple of days!

Or incase £60 would tempt someone to pick it up for me and be amenable to a courier to collect it from them?

One last beg - seller states he would be available for a pickup this weekend. If anyone would be in the Essex area this weekend and would like £60 fire me a pm!

No more bumps after this I promise! - apart from to let you know how its all worked out!

Thanks to all the folks that helped with suggestions or even possible pick ups - managed to get the seller to meet a courier today and it's on its way to me!

Yay!!

Good news mate, I'll be waiting for your PMs when it arrives

You still need a prop? I've got a spare 335i gearbox flange if you need it, saves you chopping up your old prop and means you can return to standard if required.

Hey my man! Sounds like a good idea on the gearbox flange! How does it work? Is it an adaptor between 335i box and m3 prop?

Its basically just the end of prop which mates up to your gearbox. The m3 gearbox size doesn't fit as it is a different pattern so you weld this on and shorten the m3 propshaft to make it all work.

Saves you chopping your standard one up.
