What holds the trunk courtesy light in place?
Hello everyone,
I have only had my 2008 335i sedan for a couple of weeks, so I've still got a lot to learn. I got my car back from the body shop yesterday (the neighbor backed into it). Today I opened the trunk and saw the courtesy light was just dangling by the wiring harness. What holds the trunk courtesy light in place? I put it back in, but it falls out while i'm driving. It has plastic tabs that should "snap" into place and none of them appear to be broken off, but the hole in the "ceiling" of the trunk is larger than the light. Is there supposed to be a lining on the top of the trunk or does the light snap directly into the metal of the body? It seems like the body shop forgot some sort of a housing, but I'd like to have some idea of what I'm talking about before I go back. Thanks for your help!! |

There's just one big plastic tab on the opposite end of where the harness goes that keeps tension against the metal frame of the car.
