Advice on possible Mods.

I know I should have probably posted this in the section for modifications but I wanted to get Canadian members input on my question.

What mods could I do for increase the performance(ie horsepower, torque) on my e90 325xi. I was told a performance filter might add some horsepower and an airtake system, the latter I assume is at least 3-4 grand?

Does anybody have any recommendations with possible ideas on cost and increase in horsepower?

I apologize if this issue was covered before.

an intake will NOT cost anywhere near 3-4 Grand.... 3-400 maybe. Unless you get the BMW Performance intake which will be around a grand.

Look into the BMS Power Box. It is single handedly the best aftermarket component you can use with the N52 engine to increase power and overall better drivabillity. an Intake will do nothing for you, except make your car sound faster

Macht Schnell Down pipe and their air filters aren't too bad for a pretty good price.

Not exactly sure why one would post something like this unless they have something against the U.S. or any other area in the world,
However, there are many things you can do for hp and in a cost effective way.
But I guess my first question is, why do you want to gain hp in a 325xi? Are you going to be autoXing it, street racing it, or tracking the car?
All these questions must be answered to add the proper amount of power in the proper areas, whether it be hp or torque.

Uh..no. It has more to do with trying to find local dealers to purchase stuff from in order to have some sort of warranty as these are often country specific.

None of those options interest me. I just feel that I need a bit more power in the car, that's all. Nothing too costly and something where I feel I will feel a difference in power.
