I was going to get mine painted , however my crash guy advised against it , he said paint doesnt bond so well to the material the window trims are made from ?

I presume they are either plastic or aluminium? I would have thought either finish could be done by sanding and priming prior to painting?

Is this still going on?

$250 seems about right and I have a customer who is keen to participate as well.

Who is doing the wrap?

I cant find anyone willing to do it for $250...

That's the thing I understand not everyone wants to work for nothing but this shouldn't take any longer then an hour to do and its cash money and we have at least 5 cars keen...

$250 is a bit cheap... fwiw I think it's more than an hour, especially if you want it done well and done once - i.e. it'll last the life of the car.

iirc Jexus did his own, maybe organise a DIY day?

Othewise for top quality vinyl work you can't go past Carbon Demon. They may be pricier than some of the other newer vinyl shops popping up, but their reputation precedes them and their work is top notch:

Unfortunately carbon demon was $450, thus their quote was on the safe side (I cant see them being able to knock $200 off their price)

I'm going to have a mate paint mine when the car is in the panel shop for the m3 front bar.

I am happy to do it for you guys for $200 in my garage. Wrap provided (matte black or carbon fiber black), if you aren't satisfied with the result, I am more than happy to redo it free of charge. And yes it takes minimum of 2 hours.

Got my interior wrapped at Carbon Demon.

Also had the M3 rear spoiler genuine from BMW wrapped in Carbon Fibre.

Sure, he was pricey but the work is A1.

You pay for what you get I suppose...

Yep you get what you pay for, I like the rap on the inside but not for me on the outside.
Just spend the money and get the BMW factory parts to complete the black look around the window you will be so happy as it will last and look great.

Yes OK it is not cheap but for around $1100-$1200.00 i think its worth it, do it once and do it rite.

Other wise every time you clean your car you will be annoyed when you see lifting and pealing of the sticker our Aussie heat kills every thing.
