Thanks Chumley...any others?
Perhaps we should start another thread in the vendor area to drum up some more interest on this

Makes sense to do that I think. Not sure how many people regularly read the DIY threads for group buys opportunities. Might have a broader appeal there.

The front still sits a bit higher than the rear, even though it looks so much better than the standard M-Chassis.
Also please not that you can use it together with lowering springs as well - this will give the little extra 10 - 15 mm drop when using it together with standard H&R's! The additional pro is that the ride will remain the same as there is still the same amount of spring movement available. Congratulation for all you US guys; Supremesport now has it on sale. It will fit all of these BMW's: BMW 1er 09/04- (09/04-) : E87 Heckantrieb Limo BMW 3er IV 02/98- (02/98-) : E46 Heckantrieb Limo,Coupé,Cabrio,Touring BMW 3er IV 06/01- (02/98-) : E46 Heckantrieb Compact BMW 3er V 01/05- (01/05-) : E90 Heckantrieb Limo,Touring BMW Z4 02/03- (02/03-) : Z85 Heckantrieb Roadster,Coupé BMW Z4 02/03- (02/03-) : Z85 Heckantrieb Roadster,Coupé Endrohr:10mm / Achse BMW 1er (E87) 09/04- 09/04- (09/04-) : E87 Heckantrieb Limo BMW 3er IV (E46) 02/98- 02/98- (02/98-) : E46 Heckantrieb Limo,Coupé,Cabrio,Touring BMW 3er IV (E46) 02/98- 06/01- (02/98-) : E46 Heckantrieb Compact BMW 3er V (E90) 01/05- 01/05- (01/05-) : E90 Heckantrieb Limo,Touring BMW Z4 (Z85) 02/03- 02/03- (02/03-) : Z85 Heckantrieb Roadster,Coupé It seams that there is nothing for the coupe or cabrio nor the Xi models :-( |

No worse than putting too short a spring on the stock strut.
This also appears to be a relatively mild drop, so I am not going to worry about it.

Correct, this is a very mild drop- Especially if running OEM springs/shocks.

OK, I'm still a bit confused. I thought all this does it let the strut sit up higher inside the car hence letting the front drop down a bit but the spring/strut will still have the same amount of movement available as the stock setup.
What am I missing here? |

No, it's not the strut which sits higher, it's the spring itself as the design of the top spring plate allows just that.
So instead of shortening the spring we move the top position of the spring higher up thus lowering the car. Clear? |
