SES for P02D6
Received this code the other night on my 335d:
P02D6. Engine idled a bit rough after receiving it and wasn't too smooth down low. Not much info on it. All I got that it is a generic code for powertrain - fuel and air metering - Cylinder 6 Fuel Injector Offset Learning At Min Limit Thoughts? |

As i understand in this forum whatever happens first answer should be: "When the CBU cleanup was done? Go, clean your CBU, remove all the SOUP and come back to discuss problems"

Yeah, haven't had it yet so it's probably about time. I've been secretly hoping for it. Have BMW clean my engine out. Also noticed about a 2-3mpg decrease from when she was younger.
lol well I actually had an SES about 2 months ago for glow plugs. Received a new glow plug module under extended warranty. Haha this is so true! I've had injector codes years ago but it wasn't CBU related. Nor did I ever have a new DDE put in and it's been fine. We shall see! |

Just reread my codes using Carly
Engine/Motor Reducing agent metering valve interuption Code: 004C7C Engine/Motor Throttle Actuator Code: 004687 Engine/Motor Zero set adjustment cylinder 6 injector Code: 004B26 Engine/Motor Smoothness regulator cylinder 6: Correction injector amount by adjusting the range Code: 004595 I also received VERY low mileage (26mpg) for my driving. The rough idle is mainly at idle and at very low RPM. Still pulls like a freight train though.... Sounds like I have carbon build up. She'll be in the dealer on the 20th. |

Just got the call from my dealer. Car will require Carbon Build Up cleaning. I'm gonna try to visit my dealer as it happens so I can see what it entails and such.
5 years old w/ 69k miles. Never had a tune. Glad I have extended warranty. |

I have a 335d 2010 that I got new in November 2009. A rough estimate of all the work done under original warranty is over $12K. From this experience, I decided to get the extended warranty, the BMW Powertrain Plus. If I remember correctly, I paid around $2K for the extended warranty. So far, I think I am ahead. I had 8 SES lights and repairs incidents under the extended warranty. My guess, the repair cost is over $4K. BTW, we have a Honda Odyssey 2005 with 150 K miles. We never had a SES. The 335d was 25 times at the dealer for repairs and SES light! |

Mine was almost $1,700 done by the dealer but covered under CPO. I'm sure an indy shop can do it. I looked at the procedure, it was walnut blasting.
Got the car back and it feels great! so much more responsive. |
