Video In Motion - activated
Hey
I did something interesting during the week. I have always been interested in getting my DVD's to play whilst driving like I used to have in my Holden Caprice. I read about a firm in the UK who did this by sending you a disk image which you copied to a disk and then inserted into the car and it recodes allowing you to watch the DVD player whilst moving. Well, guess what - I took the risk and paid the money, got the file, made the disk, went through the loading procedure and it bloody works!! I can now drive my 2010 325i and have DVD's playing whilst moving...cool or what? I was really worried things would bugger up in the car's computer or the CIC but all cool - it worked also after I turned the car off and restarted. I have the disk so can do it again if I need to get the car updated by BMW for any reason and I can turn it back off again too. I am now going to consider getting the TV activated in the car also but I don’t think it is digital though and not sure of the cost - does anyone know if it is expensive? Anyway that's my story for this weekend.... |

They can de-activate the stupid iDrive warning screen on startup as well.....
I have DVD and TV in-motion. Internet is not possible apparently.

Hi, a friend of my had one of the angel light change cos it was blown, had the new one installed and the dash board warning was done which is good, but the rings flashes a few times when the car is in ignition before it stops.
Is an error scans can fix this? Thanks for your advise. Friend is in Sydney. |

I have actually had the car updated, lost the DVD in motion, reinstalled the disk and it worked again...cool I think. Hope that helps. |

Yes, and you can also get a disk to do it
So long as you get into the house does it really matter if you use the front or back door, so long as you get in? Coding can be overwritten by the Stealer when updating and will need to be re-coded whereas having the disk it is a self-serve outcome for the life of the car and a one off cost... My 10 cents worth…. |

It only gets overridden if they do a recoding (software update). In your case Ninjaoz they didn't.
