Thumbs up JLeviSW DAEOS Angel Eyes (DRL)

Another install today, this time it was JLeviSW's DAEOS harness to convert the DRL's to Angel Eyes only. The harness is really a great piece of work. I think that anyone out there with an E90 should definitely consider upgrading with the DAEOS harness. The end result is absolutely stunning! My PIAA LED Halo's also add to the effect.

The install took me about two hours (twice the time the instructions said it would take) because I'm slow, inexperienced, use wrenches instead of nut drivers, and I broke one of the T-Taps, which required a trip to Home Depot. Other than the broken T-Tap, I'd say that it went OK. In addition, I accidentally spliced the wrong wire on the passenger side headlight. Instructions said Black/Green wire - - - there were two! One was Black/Green (the correct wire) and the other is probably considered Green/Black. That mistake only cost me about 5 minutes. It all worked out in the end. I'll be out at BMW Fest East this coming weekend so anybody who is interested can check it out.

I think that about wraps it up for today. I'm getting more comfortable working on this car. I really want to get to know it inside and out. Good luck everyone and you should look into getting the DAEOS system - well worth it. Time for a beer.

Nice! Glad you're happy with the Daeos kit and the install went well.

Did you do the install by lifting the car? or can you do it without raising and just turning the front wheels? I'm thinking about getting the Daeos harness, but have hesitated because 1. I'm an inexperienced do-it-yourselfer and 2. I don't own a jack or ramps 3. I haven't read or come across many reviews/feedback
so, it's nice to hear about someone who installed this product.

You can do the install without putting the car on a lift, it is done from within the engine bay.

Just installed the Daeos harness on my 2011 E90 with Halogen Lamps. Install took just a little over 1 hour and my AEs look great now! No errors, even when the switch is set to Parking Lights. Check out the photos I took using my Droid just minutes after it was completed:

I was so confused since this is built into the car, then realized these didn't get the lighting package
