Help with spark plug! Cant remove?

Hey guys.. I just removed everything prior to removing the spark plugs. Now I am trying to remove the spark plugs, but it just wont budge.. I have a thin side wall spark plug socket and a wrench.

I keep turning and turning and turning but it not even coming loose at all? ERGH

Seems as if the magnet inside the socket is preventing the spark plug to go in the socket securely.

Is the socket suppose to barely catch the spark plug?

Spark plug socket, push down, you will feel it 'grab' the spark plug.

There is rubber inside the socket so do not worry about damaging the plug.

If you got the socket from ECS, you need to pop the magnet out before using...it interferes with the end of the plug and wont let the socket fully set on the plug threads.

Its unfortunate too, cause it makes it a bit of a pain not to drop the plugs.

There are spark plug sockets with a magnet instead of rubber where the magnet prevents it from turning the spark plug?

Yup, this one does not have rubber, has a magnet that is not in the right place.

That is sick, how does it hold the spark plug then? Buy a normal socket set, it comes with a normal spark plug socket that will hold the spark plug.

"Made a tool that does one thing..."

"Oh wait, no, it cannot even do that."
