The thing is he is clearly not a daft guy.

According to his Facebook he has been to uni doing a motorsport engineering degree.

Not sure where he expected it to go.

He clearly has some issues though.

It does seem quite a few people made the effort to chase after him outwith the MLR site and make personal calls etc.

It caused no harm to others and was quite a laugh. I hope he does not do anything silly now given his state of mind.

Got a feeling he will be reminded of this for a long time to come.

I think he thought that you had made a cheeky phonecall to his employers at one point!
I think that you have to take anything that he has said on any forum with a pinch of salt now-he's obviously created a persona for himself as he obviously feels lacking in certain areas-this has obviously exploded in his face when he shared it with the masses.
I don't believe it was ever a joke on his part,he just misjudged his audience and has been handed a massive life lesson!

It was never a joke on his part. He gave it some thought putting the story together and was lapping up the attention.

Not sure how he can have a go at people for not believing him and having a go. What is he looking for, everyone to just say good joke?

Got a feeling some papers will cover the story and the police may have to visit too given the serious allegations.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for Deano or to just think of him as a complete twat - maybe a combination of the two. I think the guy is a tool that regularly gets beat up outside pubs then makes up bullshit stories surrounding the injuries. The picture on the thread was taken with him standing next to a punch bag yet he's built like the gable end of a fiver and probably couldn't hit a cow in the arse if he was holding it by the tale.
