^^this. The suspension geometry changes once lowered and you usually loose some clearance. If you roll your rear fenders you can probably do 10mm's all around and have no rubbing at all. You might even get away with it unrolled running an 18" wheel.

Of course you don't NEED to lower it, but adding spacers makes the stance of the vehicle more aggressive, and to me, it looks better at a lowered ride height. You could push the wheels out a little as you are, it wouldn't look bad. I think it looks good as is.

MS, Rogue, etc. most companies are fine. I wouldn't order any ebay spacers like Ichiba.. as long as they have a grove on the underside to get them off the hub. Weight savings with windowed spacers is negligible. Where in Alabama do you live? See above.

Wherever you want the wheel to be more flush with the side of the car is where you put them. On my M3 I ran 15mm up front and 10mm in the back for flush fitment. If your just looking to push out the rear wheels, just do the rears.

I'd start with 12mm or 15mm spacers in the rear.

You can throw about a 5mm spacer up front and a 10mm spacer in rear for a more flush fitment.
