Exclamation New beta maps

Been working on a new map/firmware combo for a while now. Right now, it's only for more modified cars (full catless exhaust and DCIs at the very least). And preferably an upgraded FMIC as well.

Don't want to post it up yet. Instead, I'd just like to email it to a few people to test for a few days. It runs no more boost or timing than the previous Stg 2 or Stg 3 maps. But it had a few changes that we've been keeping in our back pocket up until we had a few other things in place (which are in place now). It is a nonDoomsday map and can be used with either Rev.2 or Rev.1 (CANbus or nonCANbus).

So if you have a full catless exhaust, DCIs, and preferably an upgraded FMIC and want to test these new maps, email me at shiv@vishnutuning.com. Please put "New Map Try-out" in the subject line. And please list/confirm your mods and transmission type.

I'll be emailing these maps out on Saturday.

And please these maps are NOT for those with mild mods or stock set-up. I'll have something for you guys later in the week to test. First things first.

Cheers
shiv

email sent!!

will you tell us at some point what you are doing different? or is that gotta be kept secret so other parties don't try to emulate it after the fact, like always ? I definitely understand if you want to keep it secret though

So you need to know:

tranny type
mods vs. stage to run
doomsday or not
Canbus or no bus
Rev 1 or 2

You can use a little bit of simplification for the application of your maps/firmware

No flame just honest feedback so hold onto your panties for any fanboi's out there ready to premature ejaculate with a tuning war response.

Really wasn't specific to the beta maps, just in general to the PROcede. nm the /OT - was just an observation.

Your input is hysterical considering what one needs to remember when repetatively pressing the pedal with a JB3................I think I just blew in my pants

Map 0:
-- Disables JB3, all signals pass through

Map 1:
-- Low boost map, boost levels of 11-13psi depending on mods and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 91 octane RM2 or higher required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 2:
-- Performance map, boost levels of 12-14psi depending on mods and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 91 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 3:
-- Identical to map 2 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

Map 4:
-- Hotter Performance map, boost levels of 13-15psi depending on mods
and weather
-- Self adapts to modifications like intake, downpipes, exhaust, etc
-- 93 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.

Map 5:
-- Identical to map 4 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

Map 6:
-- Designed to optimize bolt on performance
-- 93 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.
-- Richer midrange air/fuel ratios to sustain additional torque
-- May trigger hidden tuner detection codes. Purchase a Bavarian
Technic cable from BMS to scan for and delete any hidden codes before service.

Map 7:
-- Identical to map 6 with additional low end response (aka lagfix)

Map 8:
-- Race map
-- 97 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.
-- Modifications like intake, downpipes, and intercooler strongly suggested
-- Lagfix enabled
-- May trigger tuner detection codes

Map 9:
-- More aggressive race map
-- 100 octane RM2 or greater required. The higher the octane, the more power.
-- Intake, downpipes, and intercooler required
-- Lagfix enabled
-- May trigger tuner detection codes

Map 10-14 (A-D):
-- For use with modified JB3 boards only

Map 15 (F):
-- For use with tuning gauge only

Tuning gauge parameters for those of you with the tuning gauge. Remember these settings only take effect when you are on map 15(F).

LB: Base boost level. Note: Map 6 is set to 11.
HP: Additional boost above 4500rpm. Added on top of LB. Note: Map 7 is set to 5.
AF: Air/fuel ratio. 0=stock levels, F=max rich. Note: Maps 6+ are set to F, 1-5 are set to 1.
PD: Pedal Input / Boost Gain. Higher = faster boost build up, more chance for overshoot. Note: All maps set to 6.
SD: Solenoid prespool (lagfix). Higher = more prespool, more chance for overshoot. Note: Map 7 is set to 6, map 6 set to 0.
AD: Air intake temperature boost decay. Higher = more decay. Note: Map 7 is set to 8. Race maps set to 0.
What the hell is all this??

I cant understand why after every Shiv's new thread, a lot people posts a huge load of bullshit, causing annoyment to the rest of us.

You dont need to post if you have nothing to say...

Kind Regards
