Shop broke my tpm !

The guy at my local tire shop after patching my tire handed me my tpm and said that the middle screw had to be replaced because he had found the whole thing lose inside (which i claim is bs because the light wasn't on before i dropped the car off) so now i have the annoying light in my dash.. Will the dealer be able to fix this ? And around how much will it run

As long as the sensor itself is working, all you need is a new valve stem and it will be ready to install and use. PM me if you have any more questions.

BS. Can you imagine the rattle that would make with a sensor loose in the wheel/tire. If he knocked it off busting the tire, that would explain why he found it loose.... Also, you are correct, had it been loose you would have had a tpms warning.

This is why I never take my tires for a repair. They will tell you, for safety sake, that they must pull plug and patch the tire on the inside. That's BS, and only designed to allow them to charge you more. I plug my tires myself without ever removing it from the car. At worst, sometimes, my plug is bad and I have to fill up the tire once a week thereafter. Big deal. Then I wear it out and replace it.
