I went buy there. They basically stuck to there guns on 38k for the 08 336i with nav. I think it had the sport and prem package as well. They were going to give me 21k for my 07 CPO 328i. How does this sound? Should I go get it. The tires may need replacing, I think from sitting they may have had flat spots. They felt a bit out of balance. And the paint had some swirl marks from the carwash. It only had 174 miles, but the warranty started counting down in 3/09.

They will do the deal for my car plus 15K, out the door. So it is basically 34k plus tax tag and title. Seems like a good deal to me.

This was at Gainesville. Pretty straight forward to deal with, na dit is basically the exact car I was looking for. I would have gotten an 09 but resale is not really a concern. I will keep this car for a long time, so getting a better deal was important.

Not a bad deal. I got a 09 335xi demo with 7K miles on it for 37K. MSRP was at 50K so good deals can be had. Does the 4 year warranty begin from the date of purchase? I'd imagine so considering it' sold as new

I'm really considering the white one, the only downfall is it has beige interior but i'm sure I could get over it. The two silvers have grey interior which is just depressing. I can't believe these cars are still here, they also have a 08 red/beige M3 coupe leftover as well as several 5-series and X5's. This is crazy! The guy told me 57k for the M3 which has an MSRP of 72. But mind you my dealer is in a small town with lots of college kids so not much of a market for BMWs here. I have my eye on a 09 red/saddle sedan they have, i'll wait a year lol.
I know someone that got $25K off MSRP on a new Audi RS4 Cabriolet a few months ago. Deals are out there.

Everything went well. The car is beautiful, and very fun to drive. The warranty actually started ticking down in March, so it is almost one year short on the warranty. Only 174 miles though. The warranty issue was a good bargaining chip.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Are you sure about that?

I always believed that warranties didn't start going down till the car was sold

I guess it's a good deal on a car if you don't plan on selling it. Cars depreciate about 6K every year, so for them to offer 12K off of MSRP isn't that great. But then again, it is 12K off...

I don't disagree with the $6k+- depreciation number/per annum but if this isn't a good deal then there is no such thing as a good deal on a new car.

Plus, by buying at the very end of the calendar year your mileage will always be lower than those that purchased early in the model year.

That's true with most makers, but with BMW the warranty starts when the car is "punched" (reported to BMWNA as sold by the dealer). Dealers do this so they can collect the incentive money available on the car.

These kinds of deals are great for people who plan to drive the car 5+ years, otherwise you will give back much of the savings at resale time. I bought a leftover 135 similarly and love it to death.

Congrats OP.
