How long's the Holiday Break at the Factory?

The week before Christmas I placed an order (accepted on 12/23/09). I've seen a few posts from past years mentioning that the factory is closed during the holidays. Does anyone know how long the factory is actually closed? Any idea if this will cause a delay in production of my car? I know they take some pretty serious holiday breaks over in Europe, hopefully they've awakened from their schnaps induced stoopers and are back at production. Thanks.

I was in the same situation as you last year with my build. The start back up a week after new years.

So that should have been this past Monday or even possibly this coming Monday.

Factory re-opens January 11th, at last the Munich factory does. See bottom right about factory tours.

That makes sense because on Monday (the 11th) I got a confirmed production date of the 18th. That was exciting for about 5 minutes until I quickly returned to my prior state of painful anticipation.

On it's way

Body shop on the 11th, complete and released to the carrier for transport to the port of exit on the 12th. Can't wait to track the ship, haha.

I ordered the exact same day and I am still stuck at Status 112. My CA told me the production week is Jan 18th. I confirmed this when I called BMW for my status. They told me to call back next week to confirm the Production Date. The waiting is testing my patience.

Cheers,

Chuck
