E93 remote dropping roof

I've not quite figured this one out..

When I hold my remote open, my roof folds down and the windows go down, is there a way to remote the windows back up when its finished?

Hope this makes sense!

Cheers.

Look in the coding section and you will see this has been fully investigated.. the answer is no.

However you can buy a smart top off ebay for around £200 that will allow you to do this... if you want to spend £200

I am almost certain that if I continue holding the fob key down on mine, my windows go back up?? Am I going crazy?

you have to have the comfort access option to be able to get the roof back up using the fob (and to get more access to the boot when the roof is down), otherwise you can just put it down.

of course you can use the key in the drivers door to operate both ways.

Aha, another neat little trick for CA. I always wondered what the point was but I have to say I am finding all the features of CA very useful.

yes, windows start to slide up once the roof has stopped its full operation opening or closing. There is a maximum 1 second pause before this happens.

SmartTop is great. I'd recommend it to all E93 owners. Nice time-saver being able to have the top go down as I'm walking up to the car or closing as I'm walking away. Other bene's too.

I can do that without 'SmartTop'. Thought it was a standard feature.
Whats the distance range?

no, no. Got the car like that. I dont think its a modified feature... You've got me thinking now. I'll need to check if my car is doing things that isnt factory spec'ed.
Thats the module though, I intend to get it fitted when the weather warms up again.
I'm keen on: the driving whilst mech is in operation (good for those moments at the lights when 22 seconds is too long)
:One touch operation because I feel silly sitting there holding the the button in position
:folding mirrors with key fob.... cause thats cool

Interestingly enough, a lot of the features offered is what I already have. Maybe its aimed at lower spec models.... Havent got a clue

Not on mine, maybe comfort access or something.

Works with the existing fob so whatever the range on the fob is. It has some other good bene's like auto-folding mirrors on lock/unlock and top operation while in motion. Also, when using the console roof button, you don't have to hold down the button through the entire sequence completion.

Those are the additional features I'm after. No point buying it now due to the weather temperature dropping.

Would it not be better to just get CA retro-fitted as it gives you most of those features anyway and it's OEM?

Would be more than £200 to have CA retro fitted, even the door handles with the sensors would be prohibitive to have fitted and painted. SmartTop allows operation of the roof by one touch on remote or interior switch, CA you have to hold the buttons. It also allows one touch up of all windows which you can operate from the roof switch or the standard all up/down switch by a quick 1-2 sec operation, standard rear windows don't have auto up. Other features are open and close roof with set speeds up to 30mph and auto folding windows.
