One for the coders! All 4 windows dropped?

Came out of Tesco yesterday and loading the boot, put keys in my pocket and must have pressed the fob somehow. Anyway, closed the boot and walked around to get in the car and all 4 windows were down. Now i know this can be coded but which combination of presses will do that?

I may be wrong but I think your car was coded to have this at some point.

To my knowledge, folding mirrors do not fold from remote as per factory settings.

LCI and all versions thereafter (i.e. the new 'F' Series chassis cars) should do this as standard. All the LCI cars and F series cars i've driven have done this.

Well I've had pre-LCI 330d M Sport and LCI 330d and BOTH had/have electric folding mirrors and neither of them fold in when the lock button is pressed.

This is clearly a wind up.

Who knows, Sam, possibly - though I did contact the previous owner when I bought my car and I doubt whether he would know the difference between bmw code and morse code.

Mirrors also fold-out when car is unlocked.

I'd agree with DB on this, both my 57 plate and 58 plate E92 had folding mirrors which were controlled internally (button) but did not fold from the fob (as per my previous E46)

It can be coded, and my current car was coded for the mirrors to fold on locking (hold down locking button on fob),and the mirrors unfold when you hit the unlock button.

Sadly,I suspect I'll lose this function when we get (if ever!) this alleged anti theft (joke) software upgrade.

Good point Hcoupe, never thought of that.

Spoke with local dealer a couple of days ago, and they're no closer to a 3 series fix - still working on 5 & 6 series! They were quite happy with me moving my obd port though.

my pre-lci e90 had elec folding mirrors that would fold in when the lock button was held. then when unlocking the car just a push of the unluck button would unfold them. great feature that i miss on my e92!

another feature i miss is the auto dipping of the passenger side mirror when selecting reverse! thought that might have been a standard feature but my e92 doesn't do it?

Mine does, try flicking the mirror control selector from left to right.
