Installation of LUX H8 white angel eye in Vancouver
Has anyone got their car installed with the LUX H8 angel eye? I wonder where I should go in Vancouver and how much would it cost (I know the lights are being sold at US$230 on the LUX website). I have an 2012 X6, by the way. Thanks.

Aren't the LUX AE's plug and play? I installed my LUX V3's (which are also H8 bulbs for my lci 3-series) in like 10 minutes, no tools required, and definitely no shop/mechanic needed..

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I am not a handy person so would likely go to a shop. BTW, do you know if it will void the BMW warranty? Some people said they would keep the original set of lights and in case there are problems with the car and they need to send it to the dealer, they will put the original set back. Is that necessary?

There's a white warranty sticker on the cap that allows access to those H8 bulbs in question, and removing it necessitates breaking the sticker, which voids the warranty.
You can keep the stock bulbs, but unfortunately if something goes wrong the dealer will be able to tell by nature of the warranty sticker being broken that it's been tampered with, so they are free from any obligation to cover any kind of repairs for problems related to those lights. That being said, the only real problem that I've seen to occur is people don't resecure that cap properly when they're done, which means there isn't a good enough seal to keep moisture out. Once moisture gets in there, things go downhill pretty fast. However, this can easily be avoided simply by ensuring that the cap is on tight with nothing caught in it (like a stray wire poking out) after you switch the bulbs out. I keep my stock halogen bulbs just in case one of my LUX ones go out, that way I can at least have backup bulbs to use (albeit ugly yellow ones) while I get the LUX led ones replaced. |

BJBMW almost always never checks that sort of stuff.
I had lots of mods on my car and any warranty issues I had were taken care of, even with the mods on the car.
