Dinan Flash Fuel Mileage

I'm considering ordering the Dinan flash upgrade, but as you know gas prices are crazy!!! Here in Chicago 91 isn't readily available, and 93 is $3.49/gal. I know the if I wanted fuel economy I should buy a hybrid...But let's be real...335i rocks.

With that said, I want to know how much did the fuel economy decrease? And how much money does every get w/ the flash vs. regular 335i? Dinan wouldn't be straight forward with this answer. My 335i will arrive the end of February. Please everyone give feedback.

I will put in 93...That's not even an option. Just want to know is the performance worth the penalty in gas mileage.

Highway mileage is maybe ~1 mpg loss (31 to 30 mpg for me). City driving is dependent on the user, I haven't noticed much of a difference.

If I had access to 93 then I'd put it in.
Cali sucks sometimes.

really? I gained a few on the highway. City has too many variables involved like you said though.

The way that you drive your car will have much more effect on gas use than Dinan flash. There should be no difference highway cruising, and only the greater temptation to go WOT with the flashed car will lower city mileage. But then you will save it back when you're riding your bike or taking the bus while your car is impounded and your license suspended...

I was already getting ~30 mpg on the highway, so I don't think there was much room for improvement. My mileage has always been pretty good (20+ in city). My temps have dropped ~ 8-10 degrees F.

Wow, almost a 10mpg difference for the AWD. I had no idea it would be that significant.

I averaged 21-22mpg w/ my Procede V2 over the 5,000 miles....I think it was 21.7 to be exact according the cars computer.

Before that.....I was averaging less b/c I was dipping more into the stock power to get the acceleration I wanted.

NO experience w/ the Dinan flash however.

My mpg went up too after the procede and I was thinking that the dinan would be the same way for freeway driving.

I think the point is that gas mileage does not deteriorate as a result of the Flash and it appears most mods increase gas mileage. However, having Pandora's Box of Power begs you to tap into that power, so gas mileage can suffer as turbos are thirty creatures.
