Windshield replacement question for lease return!!!

Hey peeps.

I am finally returning my 335 sedan this week. I need to get the windshield replaced!

Bottom line is...

Does it have to be an OEM windshield to pass the lease return inspection!?

Or

Can it be a Safelite windshield or any other brand!?

I also got 2 tires below spec, but I took delivery of a new car from the dealer about 3 weeks ago, so I hope they just let that slide!!

How much would they charge if you didn't replace the windshield? They would just deduct the amount from your security deposit. Also you wouldn't have to submit a claim through your insurance.

I didn't put a security deposit since I am a repeat customer.

My insurance has a special deductible for windshields, $100 to replace it. Just need to find out if I need an OEM one or just a Safelite branded or PPG brand one!

You should see if they will let both of those slide, considering you just bought a new E92. They're much more likely to be lenient when you're a repeat customer. The more times, the better.

Shizz!

So I'll just have Safelite slap on the correct windshield and I'll just hope the dealer will be lenient on the tires.

I know several guys here have just requested that the insurance company use BMW glass and they got it. Looking it up at getbmwparts.com is looks like the factory winshield is about the same price as the safelight

As long as it is done right, I dont even think they will even care or notice.
