Bmw 316i e90 tuning.

Hello, I have an bmw 316i e90 carbon, 122hk. Now I got 138hk, but is it anyone know what I can do to take one more step. Like airintake, manifoils and so on. What is the best alternative to ingrease more power to a little engine. Its is n43 engine, almost the same as 318i, and 320i. I have not money to buy a 320i, 320d.

Hello and welcome. Im guessing fuel is mad expensive in Norway, therefor the smaall engine size.

My sugestion is to leave it alone. We have seen about 10 to 15 HP gain on a 3.0 liter NA engine after tuning and other mods.

This cars come well tune from factory when it comes to power.

Just my 2/cts.

Lou.

If something is crazy mad in Norway that would be car prices, especially if you want some horsepower.

Cheapest hp mod would be Nos.
If that would be safe is another question...

I know, but you se I got like +16hk with data tuning, but if I change airintake, maybe 145hk I think. So its working with n43 engine. Are here someone who know what bigger airintake I can buy to my bmw 316i msport 2008. The fuel price in norway is around 15kr- altso around 3dollar per liter.

Hei Nils

The amount of hp you could get out of your engine with tuning/mods are to small to justify the risk of wrecking the engine. You also need to think about your warranty, insurance and "etterkontroll@biltilsynet"

No, paid 2500nok for 122hk to 144hk. Just 318i chip 129hk. Because its same engine as 318i and 320i. Need only bigger airintake, but i dont know where to buy it.

Why don't you post your question on www.autopower.se instead?
I think you could get a better response on that forum, since there's a lot of americans who don't drive 316/18/20's on e90post.

What about a stage 3 intake manifold and an AA tune? Maybe you can somehow adapt it?

Hi,
Hope your car is riding on factory specified wheels and tyres i.e. 205/55/16 with very light weight 7" wide stock alloy wheels. wider tires increase friction and heavy wheels add weight, both of these things slow down the car a bit.
hope this helps.

I own 320i and long looked for options of increase in productivity. The only sensible option without swap is the supercharger installation. but only whom I could find it the armaspeed company. I will order soon kit. try to address to them.

Forget it...

The costs/hp balance is not on your side...

Save the money and buy your next car with a bigger engine or an engine with turbo...

Sorry that i don't have good news for you...
