Came out nice, but I think you should've let the reverse lights clear a little

Very nice! I want to do this on my car. Thanks Chris, for posting!
Btw, do you really have to take the lights off for this? I suspect if you are careful, you could do this with the lights still on the car.

You have to fold each angle in order to make it look perfect.

ok, thanks. did you try putting a second overlay to make it exactly the shape of the LCI taillight? for example with a black or dark blue car you could put a small triangular strip of black tint to get that effect.

I just did this mod last night and could not be happier with the results. A very inexpensive alternative to black lines. Sorry, no pics but looks like the others that have already posted.

Thanks for the write up. Just done this mod myself using some film sourced on ebay for £6. A relatively simple job.
Have to say though that the application of the film was definately not an easy job. Really hard not to leave bubbles in the film. In the end I gave up and just accepted some bubbling. Overall a good mod but my tip would be to do the top section before the bend and the bit below the bend as two seperate pieces. |

Hi people,
One question. Where did you get the red film from? I got mine from ebay, it actually looks red when laying flat on a table, but when placed on the tail light it kinda looks orange. So where did you get yours? Maybe someone can send me the link from the ebay history? Thanks |
