New Focus RS

Final pictures seem to be hitting the press today.Unsure of final numbers from the 2.3 engine, however it's going to be AWD.
Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the new breed of quick hatches-M135,Golf R,Merc A45 AMG, upcoming RS3 etc...

I was under the impression the AWD had not been confirmed, although there is a huge thread over on PH debating it.

Just watching the live unveiling now.
Looks wise, seems less hooligan and more of a 'mature' model.

That's a tidy looking car, far less chavy than the previous model

Front fog lights are hideous and front face seems very busy.
Wheels are inspired from M5 but flat.
Hate the light in the middle of rear diffuser.

Not impressed!

But the fact that we've got all this choice now,is really exciting.Theres something for everyone out there.
Moving back to Ford though, this and the release of the Mustang over here can only be a good thing...

At £33k for a brand new V8 it's also cheap, hopefully we'll see plenty

Looks styled for it's target audience. Not bad, better than the current one with the ugly exhaust.

Yeah well done ford, bringing really thirsty engines to the party 20 years too late.

I sat in well spec'd Focus 2014 and played with their navigation. People complaint of BMW sound system but then you must hear focus sound system. Rubbish.

Same goes with navigation. It was not user friendly at all however it had touch screen!

Interior looked cheap as well.

But Focus RS may get slightly better interior quality.

Actually rather interested in it. If drives well and not too ridiculously priced then may trade my xdrive in and pick up a new one.

Not a fan of the looks. The rear diffuser looks plastic and the front too busy. Like they are from two different focus groups.

Wheels are a bit meh too.

But i'm obviously a fan of 4wd turbo charging, and proof will be in the pudding/driving.

Not a fan too tame it's an RS meant to be, and why oh why is there not a two door focus, I think that would help. Prefer the old one, had a few ST's with RS styling cues in the past but this one does nothing for me.

I'm not keen on that at all, much prefer the older one. Hopefully the prices of the old one will drop quite abit when this one comes out. I can't justify paying 20k for a 5 year old ford that was only 25k new.

One day I'll have one
