EVERYONE WITH 20s AND H&R RACE SPRINGS NEED YOUR HELP

I have 20s on my 3 series with H &R race springs and i was running toyo's on it. But I blew out a tire and Toyo is on back order. I put falkons on but they rub like crazy. Any of you have a different tire you are running that doesnt rub? let me know.

The Falken's rub like crazy? That's odd because Falken's are one of the most narrowest tires on the market and you really aren't going to find one that is more narrow than the FK-452.

they rubbed very bad it seems like the falkon tires are much more thicker on the exterior walls.

i have 20's and Falken 452

285/25/20

245/30/20

im on HR Sport.

i was rubbing like CRAZY, but then i rolled the fender, and it still rubbed.

then i went and shaved the inside of the fender, and i still rubbed.

then i put bump stops in my car, and i dont rub at all anymore.

weird falkens are narrow

.... wait for new toyo tire and put the toyos back on.... and remember, when you replace a tire, it is recommended that you replace the one on the other side, i.e: if right rear blows, you should change both rear tires...

Just out of curiosity for the op, since i do not carry 20's for the 3 series, why were you recommended a 285 tire out back? What wheel are you using and how wide is your rear wheel? Just trying to get a better understanding of a 20 inch fitment on our cars, especially a lowered one. Thanks.

I run a 20*10 wheel with a 285. Fits perfect. Dropped on coils and barely ever rub, offset is 37, coupe by the way

With that wheel size and offset, you could probably use a 275 and not rub at all even being dropped. What tire brand are you using as well? Thanks for posting your fitment.

I run Pirelli Pzero Nero. The 285/25/20 was a better match for not only width but height as wells. Its perfect

On my previous 19x10's I was running a 275 because I did not want to roll the rear fenders with a 285 (and the price difference between the 2 sized tires to me wasn't exactly worth it) because I still need them untouched for future test fitting.

I also run Pirelli 285. Tough to find a 285/25 tire. I like them a lot by the way

You could possibly run a 265, again need the wheels specs

if its 10 inch wheel i always say go with 285/25, its matches the height of the OEM setup and fits perfect

to everyone who has h&r sport it shouldnt be a problem when you roll the fenders because its not dropped as much as the race springs. the race is about 1.5 inch lower. its a killer!
