Finally heading to Ohio tomorrow. Flying into Columbus and then heading to Football Hall of Fame and then visiting Cleveland for Happy Hour and Dinner. Where's the hot spot for people in the late 20s/early 30s?

west 25th street has Great Lakes Brewery, and a host of Beer markets, gardens, ABC liquor tavern and a couple other new places just opened as well. West 6th street area is another designated drinking area but more of a club scene. East 4th for the food and drinking as well.

How are Wednesday nights in downtown Cleveland? Going to be there with my coworker who works remotely in that area.

W 6th and W 9th (both in the Warehouse District) are where the clubs and steakhouses are. Usually full of loud, drunk, younger 20s, obnoxious douchebag college kids (except for the expensive steakhouses).

E 4th and W 25th (Ohio City) is the slightly older crowd (older 20s, younger 30s) where they have classier restaurants (excluding steakhouses). Both areas also have bars, comedy club at Pickwick (E 4th), etc. W 25th has breweries.

Wednesday nights are relatively dead. It's not like Thursday or Friday nights. But, it's better than a Monday or Tuesday night.

what are your impressions with the new mods, specifically the lsd and clutch?? hopefully you can make it to a Cars n coffee as well! Keeping Matt busy which should make modding mine all the easier. LSD, front sway and turbos next.

Well, the car corners on another level now for sure; hard to say how much is the suspension and how much is the LSD, but I'd say it's mostly the former. Of course there's no night/day difference with the LSD on an X-drive, but you can definitely feel that the rear end is more planted, especially under accelleration in corners. Even with the rear spring rate nearly twice the front and the 20mm H&R ASB in the rear, the car still won't go sideways even with traction control all the way off, but the understeer definitely feels much diminished and the car changes direction more quickly.

The clutch is a beast. Pedal effort is no greater than the ACT, and the chatter noise is well within the realm of what I would consider acceptable. But it's been an interesting few days trying to get used to the twin plate grip characteristics and and trying to learn how to smoothly engage a aluminum flywheel that weighs 10lbs less than stock! I'm still not fully in my comfort zone, but it's getting more user friendly the more I break it in and the more experience I get with it. I can't comment yet from personal experience on how it holds up to extreme conditions, but this is the same clutch that FB_IS has been running for years with no issues, and he is now at 650 rwhp.

What turbos are you going with? I'm scheduled to go up to Canada on the 22d to get my RBs and Meth installed and will be pro tuned by Dzenno. I should be able to stop by C&C this coming weekend.

It was slipping badly at high RPMs with only 2000 miles on it. I'm blaming installer error, especially since it actually looked to be in pretty good shape when we pulled it out. Matt said it looked like it could be easily reconditioned and reused.

No big deal; I learned a few good lessons in the process and now I have what should be a bullet proof clutch in the car.

The BMW Store in Kenwood isn't too terrible on modded cars. My friend has a 335xi with a DCI, Vanguard Exhaust, among other things. His LPFP went out and killed a few other things in the car. They didn't think twice about doing warranty work.

A few notable small shops are:

Enthusiast Auto, Tri-County Area
R-Style Performance, Wards Corner
Total Performance Racing, Fairfield

Chris at R-Style Performance is a great guy!

Thanks,
Sean

Just wanted to stop in and say hey, I live in Columbus just off of 315 and Bethel Road. I plan on stopping down at a Cars and Coffee here soon. I drive an A4 right now but I'm going to pick up a 335xi/i in the next month or two. Hopefully I see a few of you there!
