Yep, I'm gonna update the 1st post with the info for the Cali guys. Anyone in NorCal or SoCal interested can contact Harold at HP Autowerks for the tune and they will also be willing to travel from their shop in Santa Barbara to do your tunes. |

NOOOO I said my car has always had problems :/ if anything it has gotten better
Like if i drive hard the car all of a sudden but predictably goes into this weird state like it is not getting fuel i hit the gas it barely goes and when i let off it jumps its weird and im not sure how to explain it to bmw. But i cant take my car to a road course thats for sure and it pisses me off |

What software do you guys have? BMW updated mine the day before I went in for the final tune and I've been fine. Maybe there is a conflict somewhere with the older software from BMW |

So did you guys ever figure out what the deal is with the ecu adapting to the way people drive rendering software useless?

hmmm i don't know, i mean my car is an 08 so i'd assume i have 29.2 but if they updated me maybe i have 29.3 or i never had 29.2 to begin with so now I'm at that.

well the day i got tuned it was raining out and the Dbag that sold me my wheels/tires forgot to mention that the inner 1/3rd of the tires were worn down to 2/32nds tread so... when its dry and hot it feels better than rainy or cold.

LET changes the maps in the ECU so the ECU will adjust to these maps. basically it will make the car more powerful because it will adjust to what LET is specing out. If anything after time it will make more power. I'd be interested to see what seth's gains are now as apposed to a month ago when he got the tune

I have been trying to follow this thread from the beginning, but it has become a daunting task to read the entire thing. Please forgive me for my ignorance but I have an 07 xi, would I have to do any mods to see any real gains or can I keep everything stock and see gains? I don't have any special intakes or exhausts. Thanks for the replies, as I am really encouraged by the posts and talking about the car pulling harder.

Kosaic,
Thanks for the reply. I really like the sound of the performance exhaust, so that may have to be something I add to the list. It is good to know that I can see that kind of gains with stock set up. I am really going to have to consider this tune. |

ok so i just got the tune done. justin did it in a heartbeat and then we took it for a test drive and then i drove home on the highway. so here's a mini-review.
The very first thing i noticed is how smooth it is. Also shifting in both directions feels smoother, i dunno why the gears just engage easier. And when you let off the gas, the whole car doesnt lurch back or break your neck. Now to the power: its impossible to miss it...you can hear your car pulling harder. Me and justin raced (he has a fully modded dinan e36 m3) and i was almost keeping up with him. On the highway you drop it into 4th gear and the car just throws you back in your seat as you pass traffic faster than you ever have before. On my way home i stopped by an empty road that stretches about 1/2 mile and did some runs and damn..first gear has way more torque and power. You dont need a dyno to tell. There is nothing bad about this tune. If youre looking for more power and a smoother drive all at a great price...this is it!

Intake + catback exhaust = stage II tuning. Just exhaust with the tune would still be stage I |
