What sort of "Professional Media Pack" doesn't have upgraded speakers? Haha

Its like the visibility pack not having Xenons!

I ordered the pro nav on my 2011 E93 and got the basic speakers (no tweaters), Ive upgraded with the alpine dealer system and its a definite improvement.

I though 'business' was the new name for HiFi? (or is it the new name for basic?)

In 2009 there was basic, hifi, logic 7 etc, I ordered hifi (i.e. one up from basic)

i think business was the name of the head unit but it was mated to a basic speaker system. Same as it was in the E46. The business system doesnt have the hi-fi speaker pack.

Makes sense, what they mean by 'business' is 'shite', i.e. the company car spec boggo model.

Unless your car is more recent (around the time that individual audio was released?) and then business and professional are separate speaker upgrades as well as head unit types.

Although I have the pro head unit (all E9x I think have this as standard in the UK), I only ever had 4 speakers and 2 subs before I did the Alpine upgrade. That replaced the front mids and added in the front tweeters, as well as the amp. I didn't have an offboard amp before.

Frobious the car I have seen is a 2009/58 plate LCI.

As you believe I think it will be 6 speakers only (plus potentially 1 for the Nav?)

The options in the BMW Brochure:

Loudspeaker system - BMW Business 676 £400
Loudspeaker system - harmon/kardon 688 £940

BMW Individual is only speccable on the 325i/335i/325D/330D/335D at the cost of £1467

So I think the best option for me will be to go down the Alpine route and possibly later upgrade the subs to 'Logic 7' if I feel the need.

Are you quite happy with the Alpine upgrade?

Thats that sorted then, I won't lose sleep over not having the other two packages.

I am really disappointed that BMW scrimped on something so important, even more so for them not including a speaker upgrade in a Professional Media Pack!

My Mazda 2 Seater has 6 speakers, my 2006 A4 had at least 8 from standard.

I mean you are talking peanuts for adding 2 tweeters in the driver's doors
