OFFICIAL BEAR MOUNTAIN MEET- JUNE 22ND [final date] **SPONSORED BY PARK AVE BMW**

RAIN OR SHINE, PEOPLE!

There are caravans from brooklyn, staten island, long island, central jersey & north jersey. Look out for those separate threads or pm me if you need help/info.

The first meet spot will be between exits 11-12 [Grover Cleveland ] on the turnpike north around 8 am- departing at 8:15am.

Final location will be the garden state plaza mall at 9am by best buy. Roll out is at 9:15 SHARP.

Meeting location for caravans not coming to GSP will be:

Bear Mountain Lodge at the bottom of the hill around the jug handle by Perkins Overlook

Bear Mountain Inn
(845) 786-2731

00 Railroad Ave W, West Haverstraw, NY

*this isn't a full on spirited run- this will be a meet/scenic drive/lunch/hitting some twisities*

Sal [autocouture] will be organizing this as well.

We are officially sponsored by Sal's dealership- PARK AVE BMW in Maywood. There will be a BBQ at our final stop in BM courtesy of the dealership among other things that day. I also received our permit so everything is basically in place.

***Also if anyone has a small portable grill, we would appreciate if you could bring it***

If you are bringing a two way radio, we will be using channel 12.

-Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish)
-Bottles of Water

NO we did not get burgers, wings, chicken, etc etc etc etc....so, if you want that you are more than welcomed to bring some. NO BITCHING. The food is FREE people!

And as previously stated, if you could bring charcoal grills (charcoal and lighter fluid would help too lol) that would be TERRIFIC (I know Mr T is bringing one and thanks for that)

Any other questions or concerns feel free to PM or call me.

If not, see you guys at Best Buy on Sunday at 9am. We will be there until 9:15 THE LATEST. If you cannot be there by 9:15 please make plans to meet us at the park or on the caravan up because we are not waiting for stragglers.

I took a trip up to Bear Mountain yesterday, but am not 100% sure I like it, so I'm going to take another one either today or tomorrow after work and post up final destination and route.

Best,

Sal

PS: Try to bring a 2-way if you can, it will make things alot easier

I think if we have BBQ, everyone attending should chip in for the food bought, OR everyone can bring something to contribute.

Dave, this is why Im hesistating about the BBQ. If a handful of people volunteer to bring food/drinks, I dont want to have to shake people down for money. The only other thing I can think of is charging like $5 per car or something if people are willing to do so. If we rely on everyone to bring "something" chances are that someone will forget and that will suck so I think we would need to trust a few people to do it than the majority.

I say just collect $10 from whoever wants to go and we'll have a BBQ.

And make sure you collect the money before the meet, this way you won't need to fork out the money first.

I'm in Chester, NY. It's about a 30 min drive. Not worried about the drive but just about having a BBQ at 9 am :. But doesn't really matter that much. Just have to see if I have to work that day. Usually know 2 weeks in advance.
