first post updated with link as an option, left both on there as the first is the one I am currently using.

You just have to find the correct option to disable the error light. I have retrofitted xenon lights with a footwell module that is not supposed to be compatible with my car and I was able to disable all errors for lights

I've already tried starting from scratch. Even formatted one of my laptops to do a clean install and dedicate it to programming. Both of my laptops can read some of the modules. I can only remember not being able to access the CIC or TCUM modules off hand. They give me an sys-0005: object not found error and also states something about the sgbd files. I'll try from scratch again. Maybe I missed something.

You may just not be able to code those, i don't remember seeing those while programming my car. If you can code the basics in CAS then you can assume you are not supposed to have access to those modules. If you honestly need to, use the process car option, will read every possible value from every module. Am I making any sense?

Yep, I can code ALMOST everything I want. I've tried everything so far but can't get my mirrors to fold with key fob. I can find the correct code in the "process car" CAS or NFRM files but I can't find it in the "process ecu" files. it just isn't taking with "process car". It's probably in one of the ecu modules I can't program for some reason. Oh well, I'll give it a break for a few days and come back to it.

Anyone find a way to turn on fog lights with parking lights automatically? I've tried changing a couple codes but no luck yet. They do stay on with the high beams now.

Im stuck there too, the only thing I've been able to program is the windows up with the key fob, Im also having a problem keeping a consistent connection with the k+Dcan cable.

Where did you buy your cable from? Do you think it might be a defective cable? Have you tried to clean reinstall your OS?

Fixed it by lowering the latency to 1, default is 16, finally got to code the sidemarkers, folding mirrors, seat belt gong and digital display

are you able to code so that the alarm notifications work with the coding?

From this post I think I know which cable to get (USB DCAN). I have a 2010 335d with the basic radio. I am interested in NCS for coding the radio. As I understand it, my radio has some pre-equalization programmed to overcome the lack of treble from the cheap 4" midrange. I would like to replace the midrange by a better midrange, tweeter in the sail and a crossover. I understand that the radio can be reprogrammed to remove this pre-equalization.

Can NCS be used to recode the radio?
If I get the interface, can it be used to read fault codes? Which additiona software do I need?

I do not have currently any fault codes but I am planning to keep the car for many years (I usually keep my car for about 10 years). I like being able to diagnose and fix problems myself.

That's the same cable I'm using also. I don't get the interruption error, mine is sys-0005. I've set my latency to 2 so maybe I'll try 1. I have been able to code the following:
digital speed
up windows with key fob
fog lights on with high beams
got rid of the gong through the speakers but I still have a smaller beep noise from under dash.

The sidemarker coding is to turn off the corner lights, kind of like the corner delete mod...

Does anybody knows how to deactivate the Adaptive headlights or know how to get rid of the error, its annoying...

Thank you for your support. I have a light control modulethat i purchased used from ebay because I couldn't afford a new one at $400. it came from a car with cornering lights/ adapttive headlights. my car has retrofitted euro headlights..

i kept getting errors that the cornering lights were not working because i don't have any.. here are the values that I changed to disable light errors. I am sure you guys can all use this for every other light mod.. retrofit HID, HID fog lights, etc...

In the FRM module change the following values to nicht_aktiv
LICHT_AN_WARN_KL_R
LICGT_AN_WARNUNG

depending on your car the actual value may be different, but you should look in the FRM module for these values or ones simar to them. they will disable something that I think is called the "cold" bulb test and get rid of errors. after I changed the values i got the error a couple of times and then went away.

ps: the car will detect if any bulbs completely burn out

not sure if I posted these here already.. but here are some more values I found in my notes.

disable dong when key in but door open
change CC_ZUENDSCHLUESSEL to nicht_aktiv in the kombi module

auto close sun roof when rain is detected (auto wipers have to be on)
REGENSCHLIESSEN change to "aktiv"

you will have to reset the sunroof with INPA after you code this option. if the auto wipers are on, the sun roof will close when rain is detected. it will remain closed until the car is shut off.

the seat belt dong can be removed, i do not recommend it as the effects on the airbags are unknown. i left mine on.

Default latency after driver installation is 16 msec. you should set that down in the device manager settings for that device to 1 msec., otherwise it will only transmit new events after a timeout of 16 msec. (if the events aren't able to fill up a whole usb data package)

Imagine it like a bucket, events occur (water comes into the bucket) but the bucket only gets cleared to a big tank after 16 msec. or at anytime before when it's full. If you set it down to 1 msec. it will get cleared every 1 msec. or at anytime before when it's full. ( That increases the load on the USB bus but also increases the performance, 16 msec. are simply too long and at certain operations can cause timeouts )

So far the K-Dcan is working great, but make sure you save all your settings for each module before you start coding, and keep a record of what you change so you can go back and enable or disable just in case you do something wrong.

we should start a specific list for E9X, because some of the lists out there don't share the same names, also don't forget to list the module and name so its easier to find...

^ just want to let all those people know who've disabled their seat belt dong that it has been reported of how the seatbelt airbag will react when you get into a crash.

ABG is your airbag module and by disabling those seatbelt airbag, there's a very high possibility the seatbelt airbag won't launch. It is for your own safety to keep those active.
