How do i get orange soda stain out of carpet?
Hi my gf recently went to mc donalds and left an orange soda drink in the passenger cup holder over night. The next day it was hot and i guess the drink soaked through the bottom of the plastic/paper cup. The orange soda dripped all over my carpet and was baking in the sun. I can't seem to get it off with carpet cleaner and was wondering if anyone knows a special way to get baked on orange soda out of the carpet of my 335i car?

As long as you haven't hit it with water the stain probably isn't set. The first thing most people do is use water on it, which sets the stain. I'd try folex with an extractor, which you can rent from a grocery store for like $30.

Did you even read the original post? It was left over night and it baked in the sun? I think the stain is set in. |

Don't get snarky with me just because you think you've answered the question. I did read the thread; heat can set a stain but just because it endured one day of heat doesn't mean it's set. Unless he used water and then let it dry damp there is still a good chance to get it out, so why not try? I've taken out months old stains before with a good extractor. It can require some patience but it can be done. He may even have to lift the carpet and hit it from behind, but again, why not try if it costs $35 in material in a few hours of your time?
