Talk about Fan Noise

So with the 30+ deg temperature we have today, I am sure a lot of you guys are using the A/C for the drive home.

Well this is the first time I heard the huge ass fan kick in, and man was it loud.

I am curious to see if this is normal? I do expect some noise, but mine sounded like a mini locomotive going by

I think that's ok..the only noise I hate is the fan under the passenger glove box and I heard that it's a known problem

Interesting. I don't direct air to the feet as much to really notice a fan noise.

No, I think that fan is only turned on when the electronic component near that area get too hot.

I had mine come on a very hot day and even my wife noticed. Sounded like a truck but was only loud for 15 seconds or so.

yea same thing. The noise was gone as soon as I started driving it.

But damn I got looks when that thing kicked in (and they were not your typical "nice car" looks.)

hhhmm......interesting I just had my radiator replace not too long ago and I've notice the fan noise to be a lot more noticeable. The Fan turns on like after a good while of driving but doesn't shut off till I turn off the car. Im bringing mine in to have it looked at because its a bit too loud and it just stays on for too long.
