Please don't take this personally, but it clearly appears you are pushing this product on us. Why create 4 posts a day about different cars you are using the identical product on. Why not just create one FMINUS post and just update it. This is getting to the point that I don't visit the Wash, Wax, Detailing and Exterior repairs Forum because I am tired of seeing 10 of the same threads.

2. I have no product to push, notice I do not list my products of the details I do unless specifically asked. I do not sell products NOR do I take on new clients for detailing. 3. Why would I use different products when I know I have gone through and have already found what works for me? 4. Having it all in one thread is not a good idea. Imagine having hundreds of pics to load every time you want to read/update a comment. 5. If anyone else has the same feelings, please chime in and I will be glad to stop the postings. |

Your work on the engine of this car was amazing! I would like to know more about what you did to achieve that. On the topic of "pushing product": I enjoy your posts, because they are inspiration for me to try to achieve the same level of quality in my own weekly washing and semi-annual "eight hour marathon" sessions. What I'd like to see is more education from you, more sharing of your knowledge and wisdom with us forum members. What do I mean by that? Well, you are just posting photos. What would be nice is a little write-up of what you did, how long it took, problems you encountered, your solutions, what products you used, and why. If that's a PITA -- and I understand that it might be, because I know you post these photos on several auto forums -- then at the very least, caption the photos! For example "the hood before cleaning, notice the swirls on the left side" or "the hood after claying and buffing but before sealant." I also would enjoy seeing more dialog with forum members, even when they ask questions you don't want to answer, like "How much did this job cost?" Just say "I prefer not to answer that." Writing a description of the job (or at least captioning the photos) would spur more questions and comments from us. Posting photos and not coming back to engage in conversation or participate in any threads other than your own makes it seem like you are just trying to send us all a digital brochure to solicit potential clients. I look forward to your photos each week and I'm not appointing myself the forum cop. I'm just offering a few suggestions on making your posts more useful here. EDIT - it looks like you are participating in a few other threads now. I take back that comment above and encourage you to continue participating here! We all can learn from you and others on this forum who have a lot of experience in detailing many different types of cars, using many different products, and seeing and addressing many different issues.

Haters! (I haven't used that word since HS.)
I wish I had the conditions you have to work in right now and the steady clientelle . Last year around this same time, I was probably doing 4-6 cars a month maybe, all the time to finish, all with stellar results and plently of extra CASH. This year, I've done maybe 1 full detail and a few basic jobs. Seems like now a days people in Miami more than ever have cut down on the extra expenses such as quality detailing. Joy. |

I agree w/ BK. You're only posting photos. Give us some dialog for all of us "do it yourselfers" out there. Let us know what particular challenges each car posed, what products you found to work the best on that particular job, and why you would use "this" product over "that" product for the individual cars. Your knowledge is no doubt invaluable, please share!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry if I miss posts, I get a lot of emails and I have a hard time catching up.
When it comes down it, all the products do not mean jack. Its all in the Polishing. Get that down, Turtle wax will look good. Polishing is not something that can be taught with words, you need to do it and practice! Its like teaching painting over the internet. You can get a $30 or $400 polisher and get the same results from both. Its just that the $400 one (I have 5 ) that has more frills. The only things that I CANNOT work without are LCC pads and Menzerna. 2nd in line is my Metabo, 3m plate, and Jetseal. |

I always chuckle when I see your customer's cars covered in suds
What PB product (or whichever you use) do you use on the tires? I haven't found anything I truly like yet (I had a PB tire dressing that was more "matte" than "shiny"). Great work, as always. |
