Need help with these 17 inchers!

Hi guys! Which 17 inch rim looks best on my car? Top pic is 160s, bottom is 161s. I know this is a hilarious thread for E90 post in a way where every man and his dog has 19s or 20s!

Until I upgrade to 162 Elipsoids (I'm looking for a decent set of used as after long thoughts it seems the OEM 162s is what I like best for E90) I have to keep with 17s for time being.

Why I'm asking? These two wheel styles are my current choices and my car now comes with 160s but a friend said he could swap his 161s if I like with small extra payment.

My old Tiag E90 had 161s and I quite liked them, but before I go back I'd like to see what others think.

tbh neither of them are really my cup of tea, but if you have to pay extra for the 161, i say just keep the 160. i don't think the 161 would really be worth the extra money

I know, there isn't much 17s one could like so ignore that prejudice really. I think car will have a BMW performance drop with 162s once I'm done with it.

Both wheels look alright, 161s look a bit sportier but like said above, Id go the least expensive route until you can get 162s.

Yup, but if either is available as no cost option, which then? I'm leaning towards 161s (easier to clean, look sporty, staggered) still... the poll results are inconclusive!

I like the 160s over the 161s. Kinda looks like a baby Alpina-esqe wheel. I see the 161s everywhere.

Yup, with that color it does have a bit of Alpina about it. I actually would be happy to bag one used but they are only manual gearboxes until most recent models (which are very expensive).

Surprised most voting for my current wheels, I guess they must be not so common in US and it's partially a novelty factor.

i would never pay extra money to have 17s. even if it's only a couple of dollars. if you're already on 17s, just keep it that way, unless the other set has way better and newer tires. then it would make the trade + cash worth it for the tires.

I agree on tyre issue, i think tyres will be an upside for me since they're non-RFT. Friend is selling car so for him actually having RFT is good as buyers usually ask "where's the fking spare!".
