Can anyone make a reference to an example of people talking about the problems they've had with the RR dp's? I have a catted set of them just sitting in the box here and I've been contemplating having them installed. Should I not?

I searched for threads on this subject but didn't find any.

Try searching on 1addicts.com One guy did a review of ALL his RR headaches. He had some good pictures of the o2 sims hitting eachother as well.

Well, the guy did say that the shop that installed the DP's said his install was inconsistent their previous RR DP installs..

Damn, dunno, I'd like to believe that they'll work just fine with no errors, fitment or otherwise. Is there any more evidence to the contrary?

I dont know man. I can say this about the RR cat back exhaust for the 135i. I had a reputable shop do mine and at first the only thing they had to do was bang the heat shield up in a few places so it did not hit it. HOWEVER, after I drove it for 5 minutes and the car heated up, because of thermal expansion it started to hit again. So they then had to modify the brackets instead of beating the shit out of my heatsheild. Now..I can tell you for a fact I dont think ANYONE has EVER had a RR exhaust that went on with no fitment issues. I have had exhausts on 4 of my other cars. NONE of which EVER had a problem bolting right on to the factory position with out modification. I can honestly say I do not think I would purchase from them again after seeing that the exhaust didnt bolt right up and everyone has a problem with them...and if you look at their intake plenum that thing looks like SHIT if you look at the welds. They were good guys to deal with but I am just unsure of their products.

RR really needs to pull their heads out of their ass. My exhaust took forever to get to me also. Supposedly it was instock and ready to ship..Well it took 3 weeks to get to me. Hell I ordered it and I beat the damn exhaust home and I was coming from fricken IRAQ!! I had everything set up to be ready when I got home and have it put on right away...but because of their delay I had to continually push back the install dates. I hate to bad mouth them and have kept my mouth shut for a while..but come on guys!! Ok thats all I will say so this thread can die.

You ordered the BMS o2 sims, so they connect in the ECU. 3 wires. They are completely independant of the downpipes. They tap the signal at the ECU!

Just noticed in your sig that you have a JB3, so the sims will connect into the PnP harness! Refer to the attached PDF!
