Try BMW of Mountain View (formerly Allison BMW)

I bought a 330i from them in June and paid ~$900 over invoice and they threw in the floormats without my having to ask.

In general it was a pleasant purchase experience.

seriously, anyone in the bay area should check out east bay in pleasanton, they're small but the sales force is by far the best to talk to and deal with that I've seen.
Guess, it depends on luck of the draw which sales person you are dealing with. When I was shopping around for 2006 330i, I ended up at Pleasenton BMW. The saleman was so downright rude. Will not even go for a testdrive, because somehow I happend to mention MT View BMW. He said I will be buying the car over there, so why should he waste his time giving me a testdrive.
Also for some reason, probably he figured we were cheapos, so he was trying to sell me 325i, even though I was set for 330i.

The best sales service experience I had was at Peter pan BMW with Tito. I had testdrives on 2 different brand new 2006 BMWs (just to see the difference between active steering and normal steering). Eventually bought at Concord BMW with $1000 over ED invoice.

so the salesperson at east bay was smart and could tell you were just shopping on price, you didn't even buy from the salesperson you had the "best" experience from. Why should they be nice to you if you're flaunting from the get go that you're shopping all over the place?

Anyone know what the loaner programs are during service at the various Bay Area dealerships? SF BMW and Peter Pan are the closest to me, but I know several dealers only give loaners during service if you buy from them. If that is the case, seems like paying an extra $500-600 at the closest dealership would almost be worth the convenience of the loaner program.

I was shopping the 5 series a few months ago, and Danny at SF BMW was easy to talk to, and took his time with me. He let me drive the car twice on my own, no hesitation. Never got to the point of talking numbers, but he was nice enough during initial conversations.

Anyway, am back looking at the 330, so I'll likely go back to him.

Check out the invoice sticky at the top of the main forum. But here's my quick calculation for you:
car $33,485
metalllic paint $430
CWP $910
PP $2000
Auto 1210
PDC $320
Sat prep 70
Destination $695
Total $39,120 invoice and keep in mind I am using the post Sept. 1 invoice on the car. It appears that you got a pretty good deal.

How much did you pay for taxes and lic?

I paid $3,691.79 in taxes, dmv, etc.

So this means I paid about $690 over invoice, which sounds pretty good.
When I first got the quote for the car, I went to Stevens Creek BMW and talked to 'Dave Parker' to see if he could match or even beat that price. Dave said that if I could get that car for that price, to just go get it over there. He stated that he couldn't come close to the price.

Yes it looks like you did pretty good on the deal, congrats and enjoy the car.

Question

If you already placed your order with one dealer but found a better deal elsewhere, could you cancel and order it from another dealer?

Sure, bit I'm not sure how the original dealer is going to like it. I guess you can ask them to try and match it possibly. You can always get your deposit back, but you may have to wait 2 months again for the new order.

i would have bought but this guy did not have deal making powers. When we went in with my price quote, their deal making powers guy
did not come down on whatever price they were asking.

It is not that if you have a good salesman who does a good job,
you will go ahead and buy the car at whatever price they offer.

BMW of Fremont

Hi everyone, I just got my 325i from BMW of Fremont and it was a great experience. The salesman (Vi Quach) was excellent in pricing and delivery of my 325i.

The car was delivered with only 5 miles, a full tank of gas, and NO FRONT LICENSE PLATE HOLDER ATTACHED. I'm so pleased they did not drill holes in my bumper!!! =)

I highly recommend dealing with Vi.

If anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking, I would strongly recommend BMW Mountain View for ED. Talk to Lonnie Pillips, they are no nonsense and would go very agreesively over invoice.

LOL Phantom, just don't mention that name on Bimmerfest.com. He's persona non-grata over there. Go there and do a search.

Topsoul....Same here. Vi Quach was the one who sold me the car. Great guy. Followed up with me often to see how things're going. Highly recommended. I will get another 325i for my brother from him soon.

Lonnie Phillips of BMW Mountain View is a horrible CA -- after submitting an online request for a quote from Autos.com, the sales pressure was on. His multiple voicemails & emails, combined with an offensive tone made me puke.

I took my business to Steven's Creek BMW where I received $500 over invoice for my 325i. PM me if you want the CA's contact information. This guy is truly no-nonsense.

berkeley did 500 over invoice too, i think i could of gotten even a better deal if i picked 1 from the lot. but they only had 325i, all the 330 was pre-sold.
