LOL. I know through iDrive you can turn off the inner DRL's, and once you turn the headlight knob to the third click from the left, only the angel eyes are displayed. Don't really know if that's what you meant or not, though.

As long as you turn the DRLs off in iDrive, then only the angel eyes and amber turn signals will be on in the front when you turn on parking lights. Although I just installed the wiring harness (mentioned above), which I think does more of what he's going for (turns on only angel eyes whenever the ignition is in the KEY-ON position).

I could be wrong here, but, if you don't have iDrive, I think you have to take your car to the dealership and have them turn your drl's off.

if your BMW is pre sept 05 build then you cannot turn off your DRL's.

What you do is manually switch ur lights to daytime. In the settings(stalk) turn the DRL off and only the angel eyes will run. But When u have the light switch on automatic they will be off.

jlevi makes a mod for it..... or u can turn the DRLs off but youll have to turn the angels on and off automatically.... also in the diy section im pretty sure theres a guide to get your corners to only go on when your signalling

Ok Everyone, I too have an E90 that is not equipped with iDrive. I have turned off the DTRL and when I manually switch on the lights they AE's do not go on. I do have Xenon but when the lights are on, the AE's are not
What am I missing here?

I have my angel eyes wired to my footwell light for welcome lighting.
And to the cigg lighter for DRL operation. Youll need to wire diodes in between to prevent errors/voltage flowing the wrong way. |
