No, don't do another oil change if you don't need it. Top off instead. I'm not sure how measuring the oil level works on the E9X since it doesn't have a dipstick. Also, assuming it was filled up to the "max line" during your oil change, your motor either consumes a lot of oil or you have a leak. I suspect my M3 has an oil leak bc I've had to add ~1 liter of oil in 6 months. At least the motor has BMW warranty I guess..

Oil consumption is measured by miles not time. How many miles did the car travel between the oil change and when the notification came up? Also, did you refill the engine with 7 quarts of oil? You can search in the maintenance section and find several good threads on how the oil sensor works, I've probably posted about 10 now myself. The oil sensor is not a direct-read device, so it takes time for it to assess the correct oil level in the engine.
I suggest you add in the one quart of oil the system is telling you is required to top off the engine oil level and record the mileage. Then monitor the oil level for the next several months and take note when the oil level drops. The CBS reports oil level changes in 1/4-quart increments.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Checked everything out, no big deal. It just says add 1 quart of oil on the screen.
