Jenson!!! Great start sealed the race win!!! Hamilton got rip off by stuck behind and the safety car.
RB8's race pace is better than the qualify. Alonso managed to salvage P5 with a shitty car....again out-driven what the car was capable of....

What surprised was Maldonado, looked good in P6 until he crashed himself out....

hamilton still a sore loser, he couldnt be happy for button on a fantastic win, vettel was more congratulator to button than hamilton was!
bravo to mclaren for the 1-3
catastrophy averted for reb bull with this 2-4
ferrari salvaged with alonso finishing 5th but a 5-dnf should be treated as disastroud for the boys in red ...

maldonado crashing in the last lap WTF???????????

cant already wait for malaysia next week

+1 on Hamilton, he could have atleast showed some respect to button and vettel. Haha I thought he was going to flip when vettel said he would have passed hamilton even if the safety car didnt come out Good race!

Did Button and Hamilton even catch up to the safety car at that point? It seems like Button and Hamilton slowed a lot more when safety car was anounced. I was a bit surprised to see Vettel get around and pit that fast, under a safety car. I would say Lewis got ripped is right.

Eventually, but when Race Control declared Safety Car deployed. There's a delta time that the driver must pace at to prevent them sprint and dive to pit lane.
That gave Vettel a few more seconds buffer for his pit stop.

Also that was what caught Button in Canada last year and served a drive through penalty.

Quote:
In the event of a safety car deployment, drivers are given a "delta time" – 120% of a standard race lap (i.e. if the standard lap time is one minute, forty seconds, the delta time is two minutes) – a minimum lap time in which to get back to the pits or else be cited for speeding.

However, following the Webber-Kovalainen crash in Valencia, several drivers were penalised for breaking the delta time as they had been racing ahead of the accident and the safety car was deployed as they approached the end of the lap; in effect, they had safely completed a lap at racing speeds and pitted at the earliest opportunity.

Instead of following the delta time, drivers must slow down to the speed of the safety car from the moment it is deployed, but will be exempt from doing so for the final two hundred metres of the lap.

As a result of this, it will prevent drivers from gaining an advantage by pitting at the earliest possible opportunity and emerging ahead of the safety car.

This could be one of the best F1 seasons in a long time.

Huh? He was never going to catch Button and he got passed by Vettel at the end because, well, Vettel just smoked him. Bringing him in sooner would have prevented what exactly?

Not saying you're wrong but I think I'm missing your point.

If anything they pitted too soon.
If they had left him out instead of right behind JB, he could have done the same thing as SV with the safety car & therefore stayed in front of SV.

Great race! Glad to see Button win. Disappointing to see Mercedes have such a strong weekend then have both cars retire.

Webber still can't launch a car.

Also, Kimi questioning the blue flags was hilarious.

His first stint, he should have pitted 2 or 3 laps sooner(was losing about 2 seconds a lap to vettel). Mclaren has been horrible with strategy. Vettel got lucky with that pace car but hamilton was losing 2 seconds a lap early on staying with the softs for to long.

But yea, button had the race won from the start.
