I had recently ordered two packages from Detailed Image - the porter cable starter kit and the polish/protection kit - about $300 in products when it was all said and done.

the package was originally sent using the default shipping method - FedEx. The package was delivered to the front door of my building, left on the front step and required no signature. I come home from a business trip only to check the tracking # and find no boxes anywhere

I immediately PM George at Detailed Image and file a claim with FedEx. FedEx is quick to deny responsiblity as "they have satisfied their commitment as the shipping company consistent with the requirements of the shipper."

George immediately responds to my PM's and sent out a replacement package at their cost via FedEx home delivery (signature required), explaining how most people don't want them to require a signature, but can request signature requirement in the comment box when you place an order.

I live in the city of Chicago and FedEx leaves a box on my front step and doesn't expect it to get stolen?
