That pricing was the old promotional pricing before chinese new year. After Feb, there was a price increase back to our regular MSRP.

This was why we pushed them heavy last month, so that customers could get the best possible price.

Factor in the crappy Canadian dollar, 13% sales tax, and shipping.

That $2,700 USD will bring you to $4,000 - $4,500 Canadian.

Price includes a refundable $500 core exchange fee, so in the end, you actually only pay $2199.95

I hear you Stephen but it'll also cost us money to ship it back to you. It's not your fault that our Canadan dollar sucks.

Anyone knows how much does the mail back portion cost? I think the whole thing weighs about 40k so about 88lbs. I never shipped anything. That heavy!

Shipping back from NC to Cali was $100 with fedex ground. I now use my work account which is heavily discounted ($36 with UPS).. so check work to see if you get corporate rates with any carrier.

So far I've loved the performance of the Mfactory unit, but I think there was a defect in mine. Stephen has worked hard to correct it and a replacement unit is on it's way to me right now.

If you do not mind sharing, may you provide the details on the defect you had.

We're not sure exactly if/what is wrong, hence why it is being sent back to us for inspection. As eurojulien did not want downtime, we had a replacement unit shipped to him first.

as stephen said, we aren't 100% sure yet. There is some driveline "sloppiness" that wasn't there before, and the oil I pulled out (<1000 miles) had me worried:

(it has now settled for a few days)

Whoa

Quite disconcerting to say the least.

I am 100% satisfied with mine and there are MANY others running Mfactory's diffs, just go to the 335i forums. I can guarantee Mfactory's competitors come across an issue here and there as well, it happens....

No man made object performs perfectly 100% of the time agreed. I'm interested to see what the exact issue was. As with all things engineering, problems drive improvements so they are a good (ironically) necessity.

Which I'm grateful for. Don't get me wrong, I'm still getting one.

My 2011 45K miles just went in under her first SES. Gonna get that atherosclerotic crap cleaned out of her pipes.
