Before we start taking orders for kits, we will have everything itemized with a list of all options. Regardless of your current set up, you will be able to spec your configuration and what is needed. Obviously, it you already have a Procede (and PWM meth kit) the rest is just mainly turbo system hardware. Of course, you will also want a FMIC and exhaust. No need for downpipes or DCI though.

^ that is exactly how the Technique Tuning turbo kits work for the s52's. Flattened intake pipe running between the frame and the exhaust manifold. Filter ends up behind the headlight.

personally I think what Shiv is running will work just fine as it should receive colder air coming from under the vehicle plus its a shorter run to the turbo. I've actually considered doing something similar but with a 1-2 ft pipe pushing it towards the bumper so the brake ducting can be used to feed the filter ambient air.

my current filter location

you could fairly easily have a good shop (I mean GOOD) fab all the parts Shiv has for a RHD car and get the tuning right from Shiv, bam, done.

I think Shiv mentioned in another thread that he is planning a trip to Taiwan this summer to install a few STK's on car's there. That leads me to believe that they'll be producing RHD kits in-house. At least I hope so, my RHD brother

EDIT: Dammit they drive on the right too My memory clearly does not serve me correctly.

Well he did say he would add me to the list for single turbo conversions when he comes to Asia. Maybe he doesn't know we were once colonized by the Queen and drive on the wrong side of the road haha.

Shiv, this is a semi-serious question... If I were to ship my car across the Pacific, would you be willing to use my car to build a product for people with RHD cars? I have a manual though, you'd probably need an automatic as well though, right?

I shipped my Ducati from Colorado to HK when I graduated from college. The only hard part was getting it across the land between CO and CA. The water part was very straightforward. It only cost $300 if I remember correctly, a car would cost what, maybe 5 times as much, max?

Are you serious? Anyone in the market for these will want the most they can get. For everyone else, there's FBO + meth, and upgraded twins.

I feel like that is nit-picking to the extreme. That location isn't preventing the car from making power. It's flawlessly making 640+, and it's not even being pushed that hard. He mentioned running upwards of 670whp or so already. I don't think that intake is a problem

well i'm in the market for it ... he has one of my 335s' and will be getting my other one next week.

I'm just saying if there is another 5-10whp from putting another straw to breath out of, its not really worth it. I'm of the mind, that it'll make little difference at this power level.

From the looks of it (i've put my hand in there, its not much warmer than the rest of the engine bay ... there's tons of clearance, plus its direct -- filter right into the inlet.

(edit) - i'll do some dyno runs with no filter and see if its any better (nothing is better than having no filter, right?). Its best to get some sort of scientific testing vs speculation anyways.

Guys, you are arguing a moot point. This car is on meth pre and post IC. Honestly, any difference in preturbo ambient temperatures will be negligible by the time the air hits the throttle body because of the meth IAT control. This is a pointless discussion.

is that filter sized appropriately for the cfm ingested at these power levels. i'm assuming yes.

I suspect they wouldn't have used it if it was not. With that said, I have not seen the hard data on what horsepower level this filter will support. It does seem both HPF and FFTEC thinks it will because their filter size appears identical.

Yes. It has been used on other builds making 200hp more and is only down 7-10hp over running no filter.

While you might be right regarding temps for those throwing meth at the problem, I would be one of the people running pump w/no meth for half the time driving it. So there is merit to having better placement.
My original thought was more based on convenience of inspecting/changing/servicing the filter. Ideally it would not require jacking the car, removing underbelly pans etc.

Some sort of tubing that routes intake towards where there is better airflow or maybe near the top would be in my mind a bonus. But as shiv says, in time....
