Front Arm Bushings / 07 335

Hi all,

Anybody has any recommendations on after market front arm bushings? Dealer wants to replace the whole arm rather than just changing the bushing...
Also shouldn't this be covered under the CPO warranty?

Thanks!

I think by the time you remove the arms and press out the bushings and press in new ones, you can install new arms.

I just had mine done, bought a set from ECS tuning, with M3 bushings. Wow, what a difference. You don't realize what's worn out until you change it....

What all did you buy? M3 upper and lower control arms with M3 bushings?

Cool, I have 2 questions:
1) Did it really made a big difference in the Handling?
2) Did you install them yourself? If so how long did it took..skill level?

Thanks!

I notice a difference. Things are much tighter in the front. Now keep in mind, my bushings were pretty worn out.

It's possible to do it yourself, but he bolts need to be torqued down with the car on the ground (arms at 90 degrees). And with the way my lowered car sits, there's no way I could get to it without a lift. So I had it done by an indy shop. 1.6 hours, and of course you'll need an alignment afterwards.

How does one know if their bushing are worn? I am at 85k and checked them visually and pulled and twisted them by hand. I could not detect any signs of wear.

On my 335, every time i was parking and braking i could hear a "clank clank" kinda noise coming from the tires ( at first i thought it was the brakes)...Also when i take turns at like 50+ mph i can feel the car rolling from one side to the other like a freaking boat in a storm... so I guess those 2 assumptions were confirmed when i took the car for service and the stealership wanted $600 to replace them...
I just bought the M3 arms rather than changing the bushings : http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-330...Arms/ES257207/

When I bought my car, my prebuy shop said BMW recommended replacing them. I had an alignment shop look at them, and they said they seemed fine.

I was getting the 55mph vibration, and it just felt loose.
Getting them replaced confirmed they were worn.

If you have 85K miles, I think you are due.
