No puller needed...4 bolts, falls off (once belts are off). Review my post on previous page.

Thanks! That's why I figured since it was 4 bolts and not 1...but I never underestimate those crazy Germans.

EDIT: Thanks to Yozh and OmahaDZL for the tips on the previous page. I must have missed them earlier.

I'm pretty sure I have the female torx sockets as I had the head off of my E36 M3. I haven't had to wrench on the 335d that much so I'll need to get back in to making sure I don't break plastic stuff again.

Yozh, since the new part is in hand. Can you possibly measure the central disc's thickness please. Doing a fastener preload stress computation. Thanks

P.S. I presume that the BMW OEM part is same thickness as corteco central disc.

Do you mean the depth of the bolt holes?

Can't seem to get the fan out past this bad boy. I've got the hose un-clipped from the mid section of the fan.

The other side up against a rad line I think.

Do I need to take the intake pipe off?

Ditto, unhook and swing out of the way. Do not forget to unbolt the heat exchanger from the bottom.

How do I swing out of the way? The heat exchanger is clear. As far as I can tell it is just the intake keeping me from getting this out. I unclipped from the manifold and tried to fold back but that seemed worse somehow. Did you guys loosen at the bottom as well?

26.25mm, you do the math in imperial
If you need a more precise measurement, I can take it to work, lay it on a calibrated granite table and use some better tools.

Anything else that we need measured. I think I might take a few dimensions for history, just in case we want to build an ATI Superdamper.

then you aren't folding right... because it should be completely out of the way now.. the only problem you will have with it is getting it back on

Unclip the IAT sensor wire at the Throttle connector. You pull it (the pipe) forward off the throttle and bend towards the driver side, just watch the IAT sensor and it's connector not to damage.

EDIT: also watch a coolant line on the passenger side, a bit tight there.

Looking at the stretch fit belt tools: So I'm just going to be able to turn the crank with one of the bolts on the pulley...?

It's definitely different from OEM. The middle rubber section is much thicker.

the old oem one got an upgrade...so even the corteco is more substantial than the one you took off... to be expected.

as for the belts, you can't turn with the center bolts cuz they are no longer connected to the outer pulley....but you can muscle it
