Is it true that V1 is no longer able to defect HK cameras and laser gun? My friend said he just bought one and doesn't make a sound!!!

The signal of new cameras and laser guns is very weak. You would have to slow down much earlier to the ones you familar with. Not only V1, but all radars do have problem to detech those.

But most of them do work well with V1 in Hong Kong.

are these bought locally? spoke to a shop today and they said they've made modifications for hk roads? just a sales pitch you think? also how much you charging for your v1

I don't think they can make any modification locally.
You have to send your V1 back to the US if you need update or even repair. If the shops in HK have that ability to do modifications on the V1, then you don't have to send your V1 all the way to the US in that case...

But just my guess.....
